What a patisserie should be! They had such a variety of tarts, cakes, savouries, pastries and baguettes I couldn't decide. Their vegan sausage roll is great as are their cheese straws. All very reasonably priced given the quality.
This place is truly delightful. The atmosphere is inviting and pleasant. Efficient and amiable service elevates the experience. Happy staff members often contribute to a positive environment. It is a wonderful place to visit.
I popped in to La Patisserie around 4pm on a Saturday for a bite to eat and a coffee to go. The café looked inviting and had a great vibe inside. I was greeted by a very friendly member of staff and after perusing the wonderful selection of tasty looking food, I ordered a turkey, bacon, sage and onion sausage roll, a salted fudge brownie, and a mocha. The service was super quick and I was on my way. The food tasted incredible, not lasting very long at all! The mocha was exceptional, with smooth coffee and a rich dark chocolate flavour! Thank you so much, and when I'm next in the area, I know exactly where I'll be heading! :-)
We're regulars at Shoreham Market but had never managed to sample La Patissrie because on Market days (Saturday mornings) it's completely rammed - as others have pointed out, it does get extremely busy. Finally tried it on last Saturday, late in the afternoon, and it is as good as the reviews suggest - prompt and friendly service, good coffee, good cakes, and not at all expensive.
Delicious food, glorious coffee The staff are always very friendly and helpful, even though it's always super busy! Note -it gets pretty busy inside, and even outside on sunny days, so if you're not a fan of that kind of environment I'd recommend taking your order to go and sitting in a quieter spot, like on the river or beach
Love it! Delicious coffee and simply amazing food - we had a chicken & bacon sandwich and a spinach & mushroom one and they were just perfect. They also have a big variety of freshly baked bread. Must try!
This must be the best cafe within miles of Shoreham. The coffee, pastries and savoury treats are excellent and great value. Also, they do split pricing for dine-in and takeaway food, which saves you a VAT charge for the latter. The staff are very friendly and helpful and plenty of customers enjoy a chat.
Lovely French Patisserie just by the river in Shoreham. I was told that the chief gets up at 4am to bake and make food to ensure everything is fresh for the day. It's just by the end of the foot bridge over the estuary and only a short walk to the beach. Highly recommended! Not open on Sundays (bit of a shame).
